For the press

We publish a recurring report, The State of Domain Security, drawn from our running census of around 332 million domains worldwide. It looks at how well, or how poorly, ordinary websites protect their email, their connections, and their visitors, and how that picture changes over time.

Journalists are welcome to cite our aggregate figures, with attribution to Defaults.Exposed. Our public figures describe broad patterns across the whole census; no named domain appears in them, so there’s nothing there that singles out one organisation, and any single domain’s grade is available to whoever runs the free scan.
